KEVIN  BELLICOURT   -   05/31/1986

Bellicourt first became a NASCAR crew chief in 2016 when he was hired by owner Duke Thorson who owned ThorSport Racing.  He worked with driver Ben Rhodes and they had two Top 5 finishes with a best finish of second.  In 2017, Bellicourt would leave ThorSport Racing to go to work for Gallagher Motorsports and his driver Justin Haley.  The duo produced three Top 5 finishes and eleven Top 10's.  They paired together again in 2018.  Haley had a good season and posted three wins; and finished the season third in points. 2019 saw Bellicourt spend most of the year leading the efforts of young driver Brittney Zamora in the K&N West Series.  She was a driver for Bill McAnally.  In 14 event they young lady posted six Top 5 and 10 Top 10 finishes. Her best finish was third on two occasions and ranked fifth in season points at the end of the year.  Bellicourt also led Derek Kraus for four races in the Truck Series; where he had a best finish of eighth.  In 2020, Kraus ran full time in the Truck Series with Bellicourt atop the box.  Kraus showed improvement posting three Top 5 finishes and had a best finish of second at Darlington.  He also had 13 Top 10's and finished 11th in points.  It was expected the pair will be back together in 2021.  Instead, Bellicourt moved up to the Cup Series in 2021.  He was the lead wrench for Justin Haley who drove for Spire Motorsports. Haley and Bellicourt were together for 30 starts in 2021.  Their

best finish came when they were sixth at Daytona.  They added an eighth place finish at Indy on the road course for the only two top ten finishes.Haley moved to drive for Kaulig Racing in 2022, while Bellicourt remained with Spire Motorsports leading the #77 car.  Several drivers took turns at the controls that season.  Landon Cassill made the most starts (17) and posted the only top five finish when he crossed the finish line in fourth place at Daytona in August.  It would be his only top ten finish.  Josh Bilicki made 16 starts under Bellicourt, with a best finish of 16th at Atlanta.  Mike Rockenfeller made two starts, and Justin Allgaier made one, all those finishes were worse than 30th.  Bellicourt was paired with Ty Dillon for the start of the 2023 Cup season for 21 races.  The best finish the pair could produce was a 14th place run at Talladega.  There was only one other top 20 run while they were together.  Kevin Manion took over for Bellicourt at Michigan with pretty much the same results the remainder of the year.  Dillon was let go at the end of the 2022 season and will be replaced by Carson Hocevar.
