CHISHOLM  SPEEDWAY   -   MONTGOMERY  AL

Like many of the race tracks that just hosted one or two Cup races; not much can be found about Chisholm Speedway. It was a 1/2 mile dirt oval that hosted one Cup event of 200 laps. Tim flock would start on the pole and lead the first 50 laps. He would eventually fall out after losing his brakes, completing 139 laps and finish18th. Jack smith would lead the next 49 laps; before Marvin Panch took the lead away and held it through lap 140. Buck Baker would track down Panch and pass him with 60 laps to go to go on and take the win. Only Ralph Moody was able to finish on the lead lap. Panch finished third, with Fireball Roberts and Johnny Allen rounding out the top five.
