CHAD  KENDRICK   -   01/20/1978

Kendrick first crawled atop the pit box in 2008, as he worked for owner David Dollar, and called the shots for driver Timothy Peters.  They run a very limited schedule, only competing in seven races.  They had several good runs, including a top ten finish.  In 2009, Peters and Kendrick paired together again, as they ran the full series schedule.  They had a good season as Peters would pull into victory lane at Martinsville; claiming the first win for both Peters and Kendrick.  They would have five top five finishes, and finish eighth in the points.  Kendrick worked for owner Jeff Wyler in 2010, as he split duties between drivers Stacy Compton and Narain Karthikeyan.  Compton had five top ten finishes, with a best finish of sixth at Iowa.  Kendrick was off to work for another owner in 2011, as he was hired by Joe Bennette to work with driver Jason White.  They had two top five finishes in 20 starts, one at Kentucky and one at Talladega.  He worked for Tom DeLoach in 2012, as Parker Kligerman and John King split duties driving a race truck.  Little known King pulled off the upset win, as he won the season opening race at

Daytona.  Not to be outdone, Kligerman would also claim at win, this coming at Talladega.  In 11 starts, Kligerman had six top five, and eight top ten finishes.  Kendrick was on the move again in 2013.  He was hired by Brad Keselowski as he had gotten into owning a truck series team.  He had four different drivers wheel his truck that season.  Ross Chastain made the most starts with 14.  Keselowski started four races; Joey Logano had three and Dave Blaney run one race.  The group posted eight top five finishes, the best being a second at Iowa and Phoenix with Chastain.  Keselowski also finished second at Kentucky and Chicago, while Logano finished second at Rockingham.  Ryan Blaney would run full time for Keselowski in 2014; with Kendrick at his side.  The duo won at the road course at Bowmanville, and had two second place finishes and posted 12 top fives. They ended the season second in points.  2015 saw Keselowski field one truck, and several drivers made a start in it.  Blaney only made five starts, but won at Bristol and finished in the top five four times.  Logano made one start, and when the dust settled, he was sitting in the winners circle at Martinsville. ,In 2016, Keselowski hired Daniel Hemric to run his truck full time., Hemric had a great season and had 11 top five finishes in 23 starts. ,17 finishes were in the top ten, as Hemric finished eighth in points., Kendrick bounced around a bit in 2017; working with three different owners and seven different drivers.  He ended up latter part of the year working with owner Randy Young, and driver Tyler Young.  But 2018 brought some stability, as he remained with Young to lead Austin Hill.  The duo posted a season's best fifth place finish at Texas.  They added six top tens.  Kendrick remained with Young Motorsports in 2019, but with new driver Tyler Dipple.  They had a best finish of third at Michigan and three top tens.  2020 saw Tate Fogleman replace Dipple, but the young man had a miserable season.  His best finish of the season came at Michigan and finished 13th.  In December 2020, Rackley Roofing CEO, Curtis Sutton, and truck series racer Willie Allen, would form a team called Rackley-WAR. (WAR=Willie Allen Racing).  They hired Kendrick to lead their drivers that season.  The new team fielded one truck, but Kendrick led a quartet of drivers in the Truck Series in 2021.  He paired with Timothy Peters for ten races; but they didn't have any finishes better than 16th.  Nine events he called the shots for Josh Berry.  They posted better results, including a season best tenth.  They also added three 11th place finishes.  He also led Willie Allen for two starts, and Brett Moffitt for one additional.  None of those finishes were better than 18th.  I don't suppose this was 'terrible' for a new upstart team in it's first NASCAR season.  Chad Kendrick and Matt DiBenedetto would be paired together for 2022 working for Rackler W.A.R. in the teams second year in existence.  The Truck Series had some strong competitors in 2022 as KBM, ThorSport and GMS fielded some strong teams.  The pair posted seven top ten finishes for the season, and broke through to get the driver and team it's first ever win, coming at Talladega.  They finished the season 13th in points.  In 2023, the duo had a decent season together.  They finished 20th at Daytona, and followed that with a 12th at Las Vegas and sixth at Atlanta.  At North Wilkesboro the got on a nice run, and for the next eight races finished in the top ten except once.  They made the Chase, but were eliminated after the Round of 10.  DiBenedetto had announced several weeks earlier that he would seek a ride somewhere else at the end of the season.  When Matty D failed to advance to the Round of 8 the owners released him.  No replacement has been announced for 2024.
