NEW  BRADFORD  SPEEDWAY   -   BRADFORD  PA

This track was one of NASCAR's "One and Done" tracks, meaning they raced here once and never returned.  But they did visit the track in June of 1958.  It was 150 laps around a 1/3 mile dirt oval.  Info is hard to come by; but we were able to find out that Bob Duell started on the pole and Speedy Thompson along side.  Junior Johnson and Lee Petty would drive away from the field during the race. Johnson won, as he and Petty out-distanced everyone else by more than two laps.  Duell finished third as Jack Smith and Billy Rafter made up the top five.  In 1958, the track was moved to its present location.  As of 2022, it's still in operation and features weekly racing.  Classes include Late Model, Modified, Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stock, Super Sportsman among others.
