BRIAN  WILSON   -   ?/?/?

Wilson has four career Cup Series starts as a crew chief under his belt with Keselowski in 2017, filling in for Paul Wolfe on the #2 Team Penske Ford pit box on those occasions.  All of those finishes were in the top 10, including three Top 5 finishes that consisted of two runner-up results.  From 2016-18, Wilson handled crew chief duties for the #22 Ford Xfinity Series entry driven by various drivers, including Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Sam Hornish Jr., Paul Menard and Cindric. Wilson earned his first NASCAR victory in 2016 with Joey Logano at Charlotte.   Logano would win again in 2017; while Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski also added in wins that season.  2018 saw Wilson pair up with Austin Cindric for 15 races in the Xfinity Series.  They performed well with six Top f and nine Top 10 finishes.  Keselowski would wheel the #22 car to three wins; while Logano added two more.  In 2019, Cindric would race the Xfinity Series full time and Wilson was there to call the shots.  Cindric won twice and just missed making it into the final race to run for the Championship.  2020 saw the pair be the favorites to take home the

Championship that season.  Cindric would power his way to six wins; and added 19 Top 5 and 26 Top 10's in 33 starts.  This season in the years final race; Cindric did manage to get the win and bring home the Championship.  2021 saw Cindric be just as strong as the year before.  He had five wins and 22 Top 5's.  He once again had 26 Top 10's.  In the final race for the Championship Cindric was leading as the field took the white flag.  Daniel Hemric was right on his rear bumper.  As they entered the final corner, Hemric bumped Cindric and sent him up the track just far enough to get his nose inside.  Coming to the checkers they were side by side and Hemric managed to just edge out Cindric for the win and the Championship.  Cindric is moving up to the Cup Series in 2022.  He will drive the #2 Ford owned by Team Penske after Brad Keselowski decided to leave.  Wilson will move up also; but not with Cindric.  Wilson has been tapped to serve as crew chief for NASCAR Cup Series rookie Harrison Burton and the #21 Wood Brothers Racing team for the 2022 season.  This would be Wilsons first full season calling the shots in the Cup Series.  They ran great in the season opening race at Daytona; and the rookie was leading when he got loose in the corner and flipped; ending his day.  The also crashed the next race.  It was easy to see the rookie was going to have to learn the ropes as he moved into the top ranks of NASCAR.  It seems a top 20 run was going to be a good day.  They paired for a 16th place finish at Las Vegas; then a few weeks later finished 17th at COTA and 18th at Richmond.  The almost got their first top ten finish in the 600 at Charlotte as they came home 11th.  The July race at Atlanta saw them break into the top ten, and two weeks later they had an impressive third place finish at Indianapolis on the road course.  It would be their best result of the season.  For the year; they had one top five, and two top ten finishes.  They seemed to show improvement through the year and ended with 14 top 20 finishes.  The duo will be back together again in 2023 as the try to get the Wood Brothers their 100th win.  It turned out they were together for Burton's first 26 races.  During that time, their best finish came at Darlington where they finished sixth.  They added an eighth place finish at Pocono to have their only two top ten results on the year.  Penske had Austin Cindric’s crew chief Jeremy Bullins and Wilson swap places the last ten races of the year.  The best finish over that period was 15th.  Meanwhile Wilson led Cindric to a fifth place finish at Talladega and a ninth at Martinsville.  Wilson and Cindric will remain together for 2024.
