MYATT  MARTIN  SNIDER   -   12/30/1994

He is the son of NASCAR on NBC pit reporter Marty Snider.  Snider started driving in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour Series in 2015.  He made ten starts that season and had five Top 5 finishes and all of his finishes were in the Top 10.  He ran three races in 2016 in the CARS series and had a worst finish of fourth.  Also in 2016 Snider drove the #22 Cunningham Motorsports car on a part-time basis, Snider won his first start in the ARCA Racing Series, leading 35 laps en route to victory at Toledo Speedway.  He also captured the pole at Michigan International Speedway and recorded two other top-five finishes in nine starts.  Snider made his NASCAR national series debut in 2016, driving the #22 truck for AM Racing.  He started 19th and finished on the lead lap in 17th.  On December 23, 2016, it was announced that Snider would pilot the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports truck for eight races in the 2017 season, including the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway, where he finished tenth.  In the eight starts he only had one finish worse than 16th; including three in the Top 10 and five in the Top 12.  He also made seven starts in the CARS Series; posting a win at Bristol.  Every finish was inside the top 15 with four Top 10's. Snider moved to ThorSport

Racing to drive the team's #13 truck to drive full-time in 2018, replacing Cody Coughlin. In the series 23 starts he had four Top 5 finishes and eleven Top 10 results.  He had a best finish of second at Talladega.  He finished ninth in the points standings and won Rookie of the Year honors. When Johnny Sauter was released by Gallagher Motorsports before the 2019 season. ThorSport dropped Snider and put Sauter in that seat. Snider only got to run three races in 2019; all in the Truck Series in vehicles supplied by ThorSport. He got caught up in a crash at the season opening race and finished 21st; but ran very well in the other two events. He posted a sixth place finish at Martinsville and finished tenth at Gateway.   Late in 2019

it was announced that Snider will drive selected races for Richard Childress Racing in the Truck series in 2020.  Snider drove eight races for RCR in 2020.  He managed to fill in the rest of the races driving for Rod Sieg; father of Xfinity racer Ryan Sieg.  RCR had better equipment and it showed in Sniders results.  He had his only two Top 5 finishes in RCR equipment; and added a Top 10. He had three more Top 10s driving the Sieg equipment, and many finishes between 11th and 15th.  His plans for 2021 were much like his 2020 season.  In his second year in the Xfinity series; Snider managed to put together a great run and pass Tyler Reddick with two laps to go to claim the

win.  It was his only Top 5 finish; but had an impressive Top 10 results.  In the Chase a crash in the first round at Talladega ruined his chances of moving into the second round.  He finished ninth in Xfinity series points.  Snider was released from RCR and Sheldon Creed will drive the #2 Chevy in 2022.  Snider moved over to drive or Jordan Anderson Racing.  Snider kicked off the season with a good run at Daytona; but was involved in a last lap crash that saw the car go airborne and destroyed his car and left him

in 22nd position.  He finished in the mid-20's positions the next three races; but had a strong run and finished sixth at COTA.  He ran well at Talladega and finished ninth.  He had more mid-pack finishes before finishing tenth at Charlotte; and then has a season's best finish of second at Portland on the road course.  He had best finish of 12th the rest of the season.  At Martinsville, Snider collided with Austin Hill during the closing laps.  Following the race, Hill punched Snider in the face on pit road.  Snider was expected to be back driving the #31 for Jordan Anderson Racing in 2023.  But plans changed.  On February 8, 2023, it was announced that Snider will drive for Joe Gibbs Racing in select races for the 2023 season, starting with the season-opener at Daytona.  He made an impressive run as he qualified 13th, and brought home the #19 Toyota in fifth

position.  At Portland on the road course he started ninth and finished sixth.  He ran a road course again at Charlotte on the Roval.  He started 31st and worked his way through the field to finish 14th.  At Las Vegas he started 19th and finished eleventh.  He capped off the season with a 15th at Martinsville and 22nd at Phoenix.  It is not known at the time what his 2024 plans are.  Some info from Wikipedia.
