In 1989 and 1990, Angie competed in Go-Karts in her home state of North Carolina.  She received several awards and earned the Junior Carolina Cup Spring Series Champion in 1990, capturing an impressive 40 wins.  1991 saw Angie moved into the Carolina Minis, which are like go-karts with a body on them.  With over 20 wins, this was a very satisfying year for her!  Angie spent the entire 1992 season racing Mini Stocks, and it was a very successful year for her.  She had 5 wins and 11 top five finishes and was the FIRST FEMALE ever to win a NASCAR sanctioned race at Hickory Motor Speedway.  She also was voted the 1992 Most Popular Driver.  1993 was a transition year, as she moved from Mini Stocks to Limited Sportsman.  Angie continued to build her racing resume as she competed in the Limited Sportsman Division in 1994.  She completed her rookie year, finishing 9th in the points standings at Hickory Motor Speedway.  The momentum carried over into the 1995 season.  Angie became the FIRST FEMALE to win a Limited Sportsman Division race at Tri-County Motor Speedway She had two victories and 10 top five finishes on her way to a 3rd place finish in the Hickory Motor Speedway points standings.  After two years in the Limited Sportsman Division, Angie was ready for another move.  She would spend the next three years competing in the Late Model Stock Division.  1999 saw a new adventure for Angie. She graduated to the ranks of the NASCAR 

Goody's Dash Series.  Competing in her Pontiac Sunfire, Angie finished 12th overall in the points standing, captured 3 top five finishes and received the Napa Oil Filter Top Rookie of the Race award two times.  She was also awarded the 1999 Most Popular Driver.  She raced in 2002 for Rick Ware Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series.   She wheeled the #81 Total Race Babe Dodge Her first start was at Martinsville, where she posted her best career finish of 23rd.  Three of her four races she finished in the top 25.  All of those came in 2002, driving the #81 Ware Racing Enterprises truck.  In her debut,  Angie qualified 34th.  She ran well, and despite falling out late, Angie finished 23rd.  It would turn out to be her best career finish.  She then followed that up with finishes of 25th at Gateway and Pikes Peak.  After a 34th place finish at Dover; even though the rookie showed great promise right from the start, she was released from her contract; and has not raced in NASCAR since.
